Marouane Chamakh is a professional footballer from Morocco who primarily plays as a striker. He was born on January 10, 1984 in Tonneins, France.

Chamakh began his professional career with Bordeaux in 2003 and went on to spend eight seasons with the French club, during which he scored 79 goals in 293 appearances. He was a key player for Bordeaux during his time at the club, helping them win the Ligue 1 title in the 2008-2009 season.

In 2010, Chamakh moved to the Premier League to play for Arsenal. He spent three seasons with the London club, scoring 14 goals in 67 appearances. After leaving Arsenal, he had short spells with clubs such as Crystal Palace, West Ham United, and Cardiff City.

Chamakh has also represented the Moroccan national team, earning over 60 caps and scoring 18 goals. He has participated in several Africa Cup of Nations tournaments and was an important player for Morocco during his international career.
